Hello dear readers.

Ludus-Deorum will also maintain a blog about classic racing / bikes and brands, steel frame builders, restorers, collectors and enthusiasts, as well as all the many small and big anecdotes about cycling.

I am the author of this book. My name is Yorck Cardinal von Widder. I was born in the west of the republic in the early 1980s, and was fortunate enough to enjoy an extended vacation in Italy during my childhood.

My father, who also has a passion for British classic cars, gradually equipped the whole family with racing bikes, and has a long and intimate friendship with the very successful amateur Nino Fiore, whom I will talk more often. (Picture 2)

At the age of 14 I got my first racing machine, an Olmo of the early 70s, but was only moderately interested in steering MTB and BMX through the woods and meadows.

Until a serious accident forced me to run 3 months with props. In order to get fit again in the deepest winter, I put on my father's Masi for the domestic role and started the rehabilitation independently.

In the following summer it was then around me, in the beautiful pre-drier I drove almost every day a training round and the way to work anyway.

In 2009, I moved to the capital, the market for classics was still manageable, but as it happened by chance, I came into contact with Andrea Cimo, who worked in my immediate neighborhood a small cellar workshop where he had real treasures housed.

The stores soon called him back to Bergamo / Italy, at that time the goldgrass mood had jumped on me, a few chunks of Italian, a little knowledge of the matter and insider tips made the search for treasures easier, and already the first high-carriages were in Colnago, Freschi, Stelbel and Cioc, in my shared flat.

By and by, a network began to unfold, the first wheels were revived, frame builders visited, who visited Eroica 2013 after invitation by Ciclicorsa (picture 3), the stories of former professional and managerial drivers, made contact with collectors and soon organized first small races and exhibitions.

About 2 years ago, we came to the conclusion that something should be official, the "TeamUP!" Was born, energetic help and sponsorship comes from my companions velociao.com, cicli-bonanno, 44flavours, Radpropaganda.org, meerglas.org and, of course, our drivers and members.

This is my point of departure, in order to write regularly articles here, mainly I will devote myself to the little rather unknown Italian forging, but the general future of steel frame construction is also very important to me.

In addition there will be interviews, portraits, stories, travel reports, photos and many more.

Thank you for reading first time to here.

Yorck
